AMOEBA TO ZEBRA - ALBUM RELEASE NEWS

So then, it seems that the modern rock opera is very much alive! We've been touring our 14 chapter natural history musical epic pretty much exclusively in schools up and down the country for the past couple of years now, but in the background we have also been chipping away at recording its album counterpart. It's been a long, long time in the making - over 4.6billion years in fact. Some could even argue that the whole of this planet's remarkable history of evolution has been leading up to, and will culminate in this one gargantuan artistic event: The releasing of the 'AMOEBA TO ZEBRA' album by Huddersfield's premiere astound-o-pop trio, BEING 747.

The album will be available in both CD and digital format - the physical version will include beautiful artwork designed by our good friend Kristyna Baczynski (www.kriscicorp.blogspot.com) with a 16-page booklet containing all the lyrics and narration. Both CD and download versions will feature the full 55-min sequence of songs that appear in the live show.

PUBLIC TOUR - WEIRD & WILD AT A VENUE NEAR YOU

In amongst the continual school bookings, Being 747 will be playing a wealth of public shows to promote the release of the Amoeba to Zebra album - each date will include the full visual spectacle as well as all the props/costumes and a very large helping of legs-in-the-air goofiness. It would be great to see you there.

Thursday 10th June - The Cheltenham Science Festival, CHELTENHAM

We're playing as part of the 'Science for Schools' programme at 10am on the 10th June in the town hall. For more info & to book for your school go to www.cheltenhamfestivals.com/education

Saturday 3rd July - Wrexham Science Festival, WREXHAM

EDINBURGH FESTIVAL FRINGE

We're taking a plunge into the crazy world of the arts this year by taking the Amoeba to Zebra show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Our venue will be the premiere space for free fringe events - The Ballroom at The Counting House in the heart of the city. The venue is run by the Laughing Horse Free Fringe, and as the name suggests - all of our performances will be completely free. We have a daily slot at 2:30pm from Thursday 5th right through the first week of the festival until Friday 13th. Then we're back up there again right at the end of the event for a single 7:30pm show at the same venue on Sunday 29th.

If you are planning a jaunt to this year's Fringe, please try to fit in one of our shows in your busy schedule of venue-hopping. It would be great if you could spread the word to any others you know might be coming too - the show is open to all ages. If you see any of us in our lab coats and ridiculous animal head masks frantically handing out flyers for the show while you are up there, don't be scared to come and make some animal noises in our general direction.

Thursday 5th - Friday 13th August - 2:30pm :Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Ballroom @ The Counting House, EDINBURGH

Sunday 29th August - 7:30pm: Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Ballroom @ The Counting House, EDINBURGH
